Directors Sharon Price and Peter Dench, develop sought-after public facing events, client entertainment and private parties, drawing on our extensive network of film and photography related contacts worldwide. We also use our knowledge to encourage use of the film and photographic arts as a business development activity and more specifically, to effectively apply the arts in response to a variety of organisational challenges.

Whether you want to impress your contacts with a prestigious first view or devise a thought-provoking visual takeover, we can help firms to open new doors, cut through silo working or bring colleagues together under new leadership.

“Peter and Sharon have a vision, passion and commitment to the photography industry and the professionals working in it. Getty Images Gallery have worked on many satisfying collaborations with them and we hope to work on many more.”

The Curators’ collaborations have helped to build cultural relations, embed new ways of thinking and working, and encourage people to have deeper discussions about difficult topics. Of the firm belief that the arts is an often under-used solution that goes beyond the aesthetic, our trusted relationships with clients and artists themselves have been developed over many years of mutual working.

“I was so pleased to find the team of Sharon and Peter who could deliver exactly what I wanted based on a very niche brief. Their help with events, film screenings and exhibitions as part of the wider Tour de France festival definitely helped us create something special that will live long in people’s memories.”
Ian Cleverly, Editor, Rouleur

At the top end, the calibre of artists drawn upon is eclectic, from award-winning masters of their craft who have reported from some of the world’s most difficult places, to others capturing the glamour of celebrity. At grassroots level, The Curators has a clear commitment to work in support of community initiatives and pro-bono projects, nurturing talent to support the arts as a career choice.

“Opera North enjoyed planning our Behind The Curtain exhibition with Sharon and the team and look forward to collaborating again in the future.”
Dominic Gray, Projects Director

The Curators’ extensive experience and cultural connections have brought together a portfolio of stunning collections from destinations across the globe with contributions from names such as Tom Stoddard, Laura Pannack, Jocelyn Bain-Hogg and Cornel Lucas. On location they provide innovative and inspirational catalysts to build business, cement relationships, create reasons to connect and stimulate discussion.

“Following a successful pitch to be part of Yorkshire Festival, the first ever Cultural Festival in the 111-year history of the Tour de France, Sharon and Peter conceptualised a commercially astute cycling centrepiece for an evening that catered for those with a genuine passion in the sport, as well as those with a passing interest. They develop events people are happy to be seen at and conversation flows – they just have a great eye for what’s appropriate and deliver to a very high standard.”
Jenny Higgins, Senior Campaigns Executive, Welcome to Yorkshire

CHINA - JULY 1993: In the 1950s Mao Zedong decided that sporting success was important to bring international glory and prestige to China. Since then 3,000 Schools of
Sport have been set up throughout the country. Today the China Sports Bureau has an annual budget of around $250 million to find and train potential sporting champions. Each year thousands of children, some as young as four, are enrolled in the schools and begin the harsh training regimes designed to turn them into Olympic winners. If they succeed in winning Olympic gold they are rewarded with a $25,000 payment from the government. Helping the talent of the future

Our Mission

The Curators is an arts resource, project planning, curation and exhibitions network with a valuable cultural sensibility and commercial insight. We are driven by our core values of being socially responsible with a charitable ethos and a commitment to supporting those currently working in the arts and nurturing the talent of the future. We are proactive in raising money and awareness for charity and fair and transparent in all we do.

We have a strong commitment to emerging artists and supporting the development of film and photography, hosting dedicated events and helping to build networks and skills.

“We were delighted Sharon and Kirstin saw fit to offer such wholehearted support to our festival that uses art as a vehicle to explore some really complex mental health issues. We particularly appreciate that balancing community spirit and a commitment to issues that matter with a relentless programme of arts events is no easy task, but we were freely gifted space, ideas and time.”

Linda Boyles, Arts & Minds Development Manager, Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
